Today Jacob's class went on a field trip to Potts' Farm in Wartrace. The kids got to pet rabbits and see goats, pigs, horses, ducks, etc. Jacob insisted on taking Peter Rabbit (also referred to by Jacob as "soft rabbit") with him. In the petting area, Jacob petted a rabbit. Then he had Peter Rabbit pet the rabbit. :) Peter Rabbit also got in the rabbit house, and jumped the fence into the pig pen! Peter Rabbit had a busy morning, and is in line to spend the afternoon getting washed. :)
It was a really nice drive out to Wartrace (not pronounced wart-race!). There is a place there called the Pick'n Parlor where they have live bluegrass. It looked pretty interesting... here is the info I found about it:
The Pick n’ Parlor is open for breakfast, lunch & supper. Ron and Carole Stacey serve a great deli-style lunch featuring Reubens, Philly Steaks, and Club sandwiches or fresh salads. The place is filled with Bluegrass memorabilia and even their menus are enclosed in vintage record album covers. They’re located beside the only flashing light in Wartrace. You’ll enjoy live Bluegrass music on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
