Tonight after bath, Jacob and I were talking about John 3:16. I said it to him, and he was trying to recite it back to me and got stuck on one word....
J -"Mom, what does perish mean?"
Me - "Well, it means to die."
J - "Aw... but I don't want to die!"
Me - "Well, it means that if we have Jesus in our heart and trust in Him, that even when our earthly body dies someday, we'll be in Heaven with Him forever and ever... and never die again."
J - "Well Mom, how do we get to Heaven?"
Me - "Well, I'm not really sure. God will make sure we get there when it's our time."
J - "Hmm, I know... do we take a ship?"
Me - "Huh??"
J - "You know, do we ride in a gospel ship?"
Me - trying to contain the laughter... "Where did you hear about the gospel ship?"
J - "From the Veggie Tales."
