I can't tell you how many times Jacob had cutting and pasting "homework" sent home to complete. You know, "This is a triangle, cut out the triangle and paste it on the triangle" kind of stuff. He'd mastered shapes (up to nonagon and decagon) about 3 years before entering Kindergarten, so is it any wonder that my kid was labeled as a "daydreamer" when presented with work that wasn't new or challenging?
We got a big kick of him writing these little lists and notes in his free time at home, cutting them out and taping them to all of the doors in our house. You would have thought it was Christmas by the amount of Scotch Tape he used. =) I guess he didn't really dislike cutting after all... he found a way to make it interesting all on his own.
