So a couple of days before we headed to Tennessee for Christmas, I got the wild hair to buy some yarn and try to make something with it. Armed with the yarn, a lone crochet hook and a freebie flyer that told me I could learn to crochet, I began. I don't have good pictures of everything that I have made, but here are a few...

| A scarf for my niece, Emma Kate (knit) |

| A ruffle scarf for myself |
 |
| An afghan with different squares for Jacob |
 |
| Star dishcloth |
 |
| Chinese waves dishcloth (knit) |

I also learned the basics of knitting after Christmas break thanks to some friends from our Life Group class. It seems buying yarn is the easy/fun part, and staying focused on one project at a time is quite challenging for me! Part of my crochet/knitting ADD can be attributed to an awesome website called
Ravelry... it's very addicting to look at all the beautiful things and dream of what I'd like to make next. I'm participating in a dishcloth and postcard swap on Ravelry ~ my swap partner is from Canada. So excited to see what she'll make for me... should be lots of fun!
