A lot has been going on around here since I posted last:
1. We started on our kitchen remodel during Memorial Day weekend. The cabinets and countertops are finished and waiting to be put in. We painted the kitchen a gold color, removed some vinyl and put down some Pergo. We're hoping to be finished soon!

2. We took Jacob to see his first MOVIE yesterday - 'Over The Hedge'. He was great! Of course, I don't think he 'got it'. There were a couple of "What happened to the turtle?" and such. He sat quietly through most of the movie. He ate POPCORN for the first time and loved it! It was so cute... you know how if adults are sharing popcorn, how you hold your hand outside the bag until the other person gets their hand out... well, Jacob did that. He and I took turn with the popcorn bag until it was all gone. :0 He also had Skittles and, of course, loved them.
3. Jacob and I 'cooked' together. He brought home a 'bunny-themed bag' from school for the weekend. I'm not sure if Miss Kara knows about his rabbit-obsession, but it was a perfect topic for him. It contained 3 rabbit books, a rabbit lacing puzzle, a stuffed Rabbit (to which he said, "look at my NEW rabbit"), and........ a box of Jello and a bunny cookie cutter. Needless to say, there was more Jello on the floor and in the refrigerator than in our pan, but we feasted on Rabbit Jello.
In just a little over a month, Jacob will turn 3. Can't believe it! He says he wants a Nemo birthday cake, but we'll see if that is consistent. I was thinking about a MagnaDoodle cake, but that might only add fuel to the fire. :-)
