No pictures to share today, just a little Jacob story...

We were in the car... STILL listening to '3 people' (the CD put out by CrossWay's own Encounter). One of the songs starts out with the words to the Lord's Prayer - Our Father, Who art in Heaven. After the song was over, Jacob said, "I wanna listen to the Lord's Prayer again."

Hmm. How does he know what the Lord's Prayer is? The words/title/label "Lord's Prayer" aren't mentioned in that song anywhere. So we asked him, "Where did you learn about the Lord's Prayer?" to which he replies, "in chapel". He's learning about it in preschool... they have chapel on Thursdays. So I asked him if he could tell me the words to the Lord's Prayer... he got all the way up to 'give us this day our daily bread' and then it sort of fell apart. :)

Just another reminder that kids do listen to and absorb everything around them. I'm just glad it was something as awesome as that prayer. I hope we can continue to fill his memory and heart with the good stuff and focus a little less on the rest.
