Jacob will say, "I need 24 crayons, Mom". Then he'll either run into the living room or the kitchen and proceed to make equations out of the crayons. He's got the 'digital number look' down to a science. He draws his inspiration of numbers like that from some of his favorite things... digital watches; the clock on the microwave or stove; the gas pump; the calculator; the temperature and radio display in my car. You never really realize that numbers are everywhere... that is, until you take a ride with Jacob. Then you are WELL aware of all the numbers - more than you'd ever want to know. =)
Potty training is still going well... 17 days into 2007 and he's used the potty several times each day! He's all about the rewards - he can't wait to get to bunny head #3 each day so he can get his frosted cookie. =)
Not much going on this week. I'm hoping to play 'photo studio' with Jacob this week. I've got a huge lollipop that I'm going to use to entice him with. I'll be sure to post some pictures if it goes well.
On a non-Jacob related note: Joe gets to meet the governor tomorrow and present him with an overpriced ink pen, engraved with his name (the Gov's that is, not Joe's). He's pretty pumped up about it... maybe I'll have a picture to share. I'm making my list of questions/comments for Joe to ask Bredesen. They include: 1) Thank you for Books from Birth. Can you stop putting the labels directly on the books? It drives my friend Misty bonkers. 2) Can you please outlaw smoking in Tennessee? If Delaware can do it, so can we. 3) Well, there is no 3. I apparently don't have much to say to the Gov. :) Good thing Joe is going and not me.
Happy Wednesday!
