... and says, "I'm going to drink this water!"
Me: "Oh no you're not!!"
Him: "What happens if I do?"
This is the latest phase of life... pushing the boundaries. Constantly. I know that around this age people start complaining b/c all that comes out of their child's mouth is "WHY". In Jacob it comes out as "what happens if I do?" I guess he wants to know how it's all going to impact him in the end. Needless to say, it can be trying at times - especially when it's about big stuff (safety, respect, etc). I'm trying not to sweat the small stuff and just let him figure it out for himself. Because really there's no answer good enough to "what happens if I do" until he experiences it for himself sometimes.
THIS is after taking a drink of nasty sandbox water, and telling me that it was "yucky". Now he knows what happens... :)
