< little kingpin >

After the snow melted away today, we decided to venture out for some family fun. We've been having such fun playing bowling on the Wii, we thought it might be cool to take Jacob to experience the 'real deal'.

He was not really able to throw his 7 pound ball, so we had to help him each time. As expected, he was all about the computerized scoreboard... not so much about the actual act of bowling. As it turns out, neither Joe or I are very good at real bowling... only Wii bowling. =) Did I mention that I got 8 strikes in a row on the Wii? I bowled a 256. I am not certain that I even broke 100 today at the bowling alley!

The final verdict? When asked, "Jacob, how did you like bowling?" he replied, "Well, I like it about half. About 50%." =)

I am so glad to hear that we are not the only family experiencing Wii practice-for-the-real-thing disappointment. Like you, we had become Wii Pros and thought we could do the same at the alley. Well, let's just say that we became more efficient at using the bumpers to bank our ball off like on a billiards table.
