< first field trip >

Jacob's class took their first field trip on Wednesday... to the pumpkin patch. It was C.O.L.D. that morning, but the kiddos were troopers and they did a great job. It finally warmed up about the time we were heading back to the school - figures?!

The kids went through a little hay maze inside a barn at the beginning of the trip. Nineteen kids ran in, but there were only eighteen when Mrs. Burgess did a headcount before moving onto the next "station". Guess who?? Jacob was the last one to go in. I don't know if he was sightseeing in there or if he got distracted, but several of his buddies volunteered to go in and "find him". =) His friends take care of him for sure... I've noticed that on several occasions.

They took a wagon ride, saw lots of animals, went through the corn maze, played with corn in troughs, got a little pumpkin to take home and, finally, ate lunch. All in all, it was a great fall field trip!

Great shots! It looks like it was a great time. Any other field trips planned? You still have time to fly up here for Plimoth plantation!:-)
