Today we had family portraits made today at the beach. Originally, we were going to meet the photographer at Fort Morgan to do the session, but we decided that it was a bit too far to drive (45 minutes from our condo) for an 8:30AM session... so we met her at a local beach instead. More about the photo shoot later... I may have a sneak peek to share in the next week or so.

We decided that we didn't want to miss Fort Morgan entirely, so we headed out on our last evening at the beach to see if we could catch the sunset there. Once we got there, I was kicking myself for relocating our photo session... this place was so cool. The beach views are not obstructed by buildings or high-rises... and the fort had LOTS of potential. Lots of archways and openings and aged brick... a great architectural backdrop for photos. We only got to spend about 40 minutes there before the gate closed. Next time we go to the Alabama shores for vacation, we will surely go back to Fort Morgan and do it up right. :) I mean, it's even a place Joe could get excited about, b/c of the military stuff and history...
