It's Paula 'butter-lovin' Deen. Mom, Sarah and I are heading up to see Paula Deen LIVE at TPAC. She is visiting 5 cities in the US to do her show in front of a live audience, and the shows will be taped/televised at a later time. I'm hoping that we get to sample a little bit of what she whips up... that's only fair, right??
ETA: We saw Paula and her hubby, Michael Groover. The sons are supposed to be with her on these live appearances, but couldn't make it to Nashville (too bad, b/c Jamie looks good - I mean COOKS good, ha). She danced with her hairdresser a bit (or 'shagged' as she called it), she talked a bit, she cooked a bit. She's just the same live as she is on TV... maybe even funnier live. She could probably do stand-up comedy if the cooking thing ever falls through (ha, yeah RIGHT!).
Eight lucky ladies from the first row got to eat what she cooked (fried pork chops, homemade mac & cheese, and collard greens). No such luck for the rest of us in the audience. It did make me want to trek down to Savannah for a long weekend and go to The Lady & Sons so I can sample whatever I want. In the meantime, I'll just be content to cook up her buttery concoctions found in my "Lady & Sons Cookbook". Best Dishes, y'all! =)

I'm in whenever you want to commit to Savannah...there's also a great Sweet Shoppe down there that I need to visit.
