Last night we got to see Santa... from a distance. The Santa Express made a stop at the nearby Innsbrooke neighboorhood and we headed over to check it out. It was actually a panel van that had Christmas lights strung all around it (imagine Jeff Foxworthy saying, "You might be a redneck if you take your kids to see Santa that rides around town in a van"). =)
Santa didn't actually get out of the van, which was a little disappointing - but Jacob was just as excited to talk to Santa's 'elves'. He gave his wish list to a boy elf named "Bubbles". Jacob said, "Oh, your name is Bubbles. Did you come from the bathtub?" Ha! He proceeded to tell Bubbles that all he wanted for Christmas was a bunny (Peter Rabbit #5), a watch & a weather kit. Weather kit??? Where did that come from?

It was cute to see Jacob so excited... he's really into Christmas this year. I've said it before... I'll say it again - THIS IS MY FAVORITE AGE. I love how inquisitive he is, how excited he gets... I love that I can have an actual conversation with him and get a glimpse of how his mind works. He keeps asking if we're going to see Jesus on his birthday (Christmas). He told me that he would like to give Jesus one of his Peter Rabbits. But before you go thinking that's all cute and how sweet that he'd give his most prized possession to Jesus (like I did)... he quickly followed that by saying, "I'll give him Bumpy" (which is the original Peter Rabbit... and the most worn!).

How sweet...even if it is Bumpy!
Merry Christmas!
that is sweet!!!! I would think the most worn one is the best one!! That is how it works here with the 4 identical blankets that Hudson sleeps with!!! The first one {and holiest one} is the fave and ranks number one!!!
