< new do & 32 >

Don't know what it is about birthdays, but for me it always causes a bit of self-reflection and inspection. This year, I decided I could NOT ring in my 32nd birthday with my bad eyebrows! Definitely past time for a wax. =) So the night before my birthday, I called around to see where I could get into get my brows done - PRONTO! The girl that usually does mine doesn't work Monday or Tuesday, so I ended up at the JCPenney Salon.

As I was sitting back there undergoing my self-inflicted pain, I bravely decided that I would have my hair cut while I was there. My stylist's name was also Courtney, and I took that as a sign that it would be okay if I had her cut it. =) So my hair is the shortest it's ever been... well, at least since 2nd grade. Here is a picture that doesn't really do a good job showing the entire cut, but it's the best I could do. Self-portraits are HARD!!



On a very fun note - Joe got me a cute little Nintendo DS for my birthday. He also got me the world's best game to go with it - Brain Age. It's a cool little game with lots of logic games, math games, memory skills, sudoku, etc. I have been feeling a bit sluggish in the head. Can't remember anything, can't include a word longer than 5 letters in conversation, can't put my thoughts or feelings into a coherent conversation... you know, just feeling old and rusty. I measured my "Brain Age" that first day, and it came back as 67!!! Almost sent me into a little depression there b/c it confirmed my fear that I was getting DUMB. BUT I am proud to report that after a few weeks of daily brain training, my brain age is now 20, which is the best it can be. And I'll probably never check it again b/c that 20 is lookin' pretty good to me - why mess up a good thing? =)
