< field trip fun | forever friends >

We took a field trip to the Hands On Science Center in Tullahoma with our dear friends, the Kleppers. We weren't sure if the place would be worth the trip, but it turns out that these kids (and their mamas) have a good time pretty much wherever they go... we just enjoy each others company. =)

Jacob and Sydney were hot and heavy into the air hockey table. You can see in one of the pictures, Syd is literally putting her all into it... legs are in the air and her upper body is on the table! ;-) And it was pretty funny to see the three of them playing in the snow. Wait... you didn't see the snow?? Look on the birdbath... closer... closer... THERE it is! They made every last flake count. =)

We did NOT coordinate the shuttle shirts, by the way.

It has been such a blessing to us to have friends with which to share this homeschooling journey... and the frequent "quality time" that we had with our buddies is something we dearly miss. Noah and Sydney were Jacob's first friends...

... and hopefully they'll always be buddies, no matter how many miles separate them.

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "Never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends
