This is Puff, our favorite...
Another goat... you get the picture. :-)
There are 5 goats in the field behind our house... and we're excited about it! You see, I have this thing about back yards. I don't want to back up to a 3 story house that can see every move we make through the windows. I don't want my house to back up to a car wash, or strip mall, etc. We like a little bit of privacy. After living in a house that backed up to a city park for 5 years, the bar was set pretty high. You wouldn't believe how hard it was to find a house that met that one little criterion!What we do like in our backyard is wildlife... squirrels, birds & the like. I've seen all of those here already, and the goats are just icing on the cake.
Jacob was beyond excited about the furry friends behind us. On our first morning in the house, Jacob and Joe woke up and immediately proceeded outside to introduce themselves to the goats. They took them a little breakfast treat...
Krispy Kreme doughnuts and Pringles?!I thought the goats wouldn't touch that stuff, but I forgot one crucial point -- goats eat anything and everything. I could tell they were a bit disappointed with the healthy carrots they received during the next visit from the J-Bros, but they ate them just the same. You'll probably be seeing more of these characters from time to time.

What a great experience. I'm guessing, if Jacob hasn't already, will become very friendly with the goats and the farmer. Glad you are enjoying your new home.
